Finding things to do that make you happy and relaxed is the road to a stress free life. Which is very important for you to do, even if you haven’t left your abusive partner.
This is a list of the things I love doing and I find to be very relaxing to me:
Adult coloring books of all kinds, paint by numbers, diamond dot painting, puzzles, wood burning &wood painting projects. Relaxing in a hammock, camping, campfires, with mood lighting all around, sitting by creeks and listening to its sounds, sitting in the sand at a beach and listening to the waves.
I’ve tried my hand at cross stitch, but now a days my hands hurt too much to continue with that.
I enjoy seasonal decorating: Christmas, Valentines, St. Patricks Day, Easter/Spring, Flag day & Independence Day, Fall/Halloween & Thanksgiving.
I have front porch signs for all occasions that I have painted, along with other crafts and house decorations.
So if you can find the things you love and enjoy, start doing them.
Relax and enjoy a life that’s a little less stressful 😊
